The volcanic origin of the Euganean Hills and their being rich in minerals are optimal prerequisites for the production of red wines and this wine is a stunning example there of. It is a blend of two thirds Merlot and one third Cabernet Sauvignon.
Grapes are harvested when they are perfectly ripe, they are pressed together and undergo a maceration of 6 to 7 days. The wine is entirely fermented and aged in steel. The lack of sulfites contributes to its ruby red colour with a strong nose, fresh, pleasantly vinous, intense, with marked hints of red fruit and a spicy background.
Best served at 18°C with savoury first courses, but especially with red meat, game and stews, white meat roast and mild age cheese.
